Our Nursery
Welcome to Harris Primary Academy Kent House's Nursery!
Our Nursery at Harris Primary Academy Kent House is a vibrant Early Years setting, offering a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Our dedicated and highly qualified staff work closely together to provide a rich, varied learning experience rooted in play and exploration, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Our Nursery offers 52 places (26 per session - morning and afternoon).
Children are eligible to start Nursery the term after their third birthday, subject to availability.
Our Approach to Learning
Our experienced Early Years practitioners have a deep understanding of the needs of our youngest learners. Through carefully planned, play‑based experiences across all areas of the EYFS curriculum, we support children’s development socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
We aim to nurture a love of learning that stays with children throughout their school journey. Every child is seen as an individual, and activities are thoughtfully planned to meet each child’s interests, strengths, and next steps in learning.
Smooth Transition to Reception
The Nursery team works closely with the Reception team at Harris Primary Kent House to ensure consistency, continuity, and a smooth transition as children move on to the next stage of their education.
