Pupil Learning Committee
Our PLC is a group of elected representatives from each class that meet regularly to discuss priorities for improvement in school.
The team who worked as the PLC last academic year did a wonderful job- they devised a ‘What makes good learning poster’ which is displayed in each classroom, chose and ordered new PE and playground equipment which the whole school enjoyed. Decided on the behaviour reward treat days and designed and painted a new mural depicting our core values which is displayed outside the gym. To help them understand more about democracy and how rules are made, Key Stage 2 members of the PLC visited the Houses of Parliament in December and had a tour of both chambers, re-enacted a debate and met our local MP. To offer our Key Stage 1 members a similar experience, they visited Bromley Council Chambers, learnt about local politics and met the Mayor.
Each class will vote for a new representative to work on their behalf in the Autumn term and we look forward to having the children’s views at the heart of our improvement work in the coming year.
