Focus on Nursery
The Nursery children have been exploring their new setting with great enthusiasm. As well as a completely refurbished classroom, we have worked with the children to plan a new outdoor learning environment. The nursery garden now features a wooden play frame with allweather turf, as well as speaking and listening posts to support language and communication development.
Each session the children organise a team to open their new sandpit before spending the day digging, building
and filling buckets ‘at the beach.’ The sunny weather has enabled us to planta selection of winter vegetables in our new allotment area, some of which can be harvested by half-term.
It has been lovely to help the children settle into their new nursery and we
have had such positive feedback from families joining us this term, as well as those who have returned from last year. We look forward to planning our Early Years activities in the nursery and learning about the new resources, equipment and possibilities they create. If you have a child who will be 3 this year, why not come to our Nursery open afternoon on Monday October 20th at 1.30pm and pick up an application pack.
