“Applications for a Primary School place at HPAKH are processed centrally by the London Borough of Bromley (LBB) Admissions Team. Where a child is the subject of a Statement of Special Educational Needs and the Academy is named in the Statement, he or she will be admitted first and under different regulations. When the Academy is oversubscribed, applications will be processed in order of the following criteria:
Children start Reception Class from the September after their fourth birthday. Applications can be made between September and January for a place the following September (closing date applies). If you are a LBB resident, to apply for a place in Reception at HPAKH you will need to complete an Application Form online available from the LBB. If you are unable to complete an online application you can collect an Application Form from the LBB main reception at Bromley Civic Centre (Monday-Friday 08.30-17.00). If you live outside of the LBB you must apply to your local authority.
For any other year group, applications must again be made via London Borough of Bromley. In year application forms are available from the Civic Centre.
This application process is for all applicants, from any local authority, to apply for a place at HPAKH from current Reception through to Year 6. All applications must be submitted to LBB, Civic Centre, Bromley.
HPAKH Nursery class offers 52 part time places (26 in the morning, 26 in the afternoon). Children can start in Nursery the term after their third birthday, if places are available.
Applications for a place in our Nursery can be made directly to the school, by collecting an application form from the school office and returning it directly to the school once completed.
Once we are able to offer a child a place at HPAKH, a member of the school office staff will call the child’s Parent/Carer and invite them into school for a meeting with the Principal. During this time your child will meet his/her teacher and have a tour of our school. Parents will be given an induction pack containing some information about the school and enrolment forms that must be completed before your child can start. Parents/Carers of pupils who are eligible for free school meals will be advised on how to apply for free school meals.
We welcome visits from prospective Parents/Carers. Please contact the school for details of our Open Mornings that take place during the autumn term.
Our admissions policy will remain as above for the academic year 2016-2017.
